The chef competition adds an element both fierce and fun for participating chefs, judges and guests. This has become an excellent venue for new, upcoming chefs as well as friends to display their skills. Judges have been selected from city officials, educators and others across North County.

NCAAWA’s mission is to provide a support network through education, health awareness, and life skills programs for girls, young and adult women in North San Diego County to increase their self-sufficiency. Most of the organization’s events are fundraisers, which help to bolster their annual scholarship program. Since 1998, more than 80 scholarships and over $90,000 have been awarded. The women’s conferences, while not fundraisers, are another avenue for giving back to the community.
