Alphonso Russell Jr.

obit-9-8-160002Alphonso Russell Jr. was born in Hugo Okla, Choctow County on Feb. 18, 1944 to Alphonso and Allie Russell. He was the 10th of twelve children, 4 girls and 8 boys. Al was baptized at the early age of 7yrs old and grew up in Sunday school and church. Al was very sincere and quiet person, but he always like to tell joke when he was with family, especially at family reunions which we had every 2yrs. Al graduated from Douglas Senior High school in Oklahoma City, Okla. As years passed he moved to Los Angeles, Ca. to help his brother Dillard in his dry cleaning business until he retired, Al loved to travel, he decided to move to San Diego and pursue a career in landscaping and hauling which he was very happy. Later in the years his health failed him and the Lord, (the good Lord which he always was referred to) called him home on Tuesday, August the 14, 2016 at 6:45 am. He was preceded in death by both of his parents, 4 brothers, Andrew, Jimmy, Donald and Arthur. 1 sister Allie. He leaves to cherish his memories and mourn his passing, 3 sisters, Lishie ( Clarence) Kelly San Diego, Ca., Beatrice Lane Okla. City, Okla. and Margie (James) Hickerson San Diego, Ca. 3 brothers, Dillard (Lula) Russell Victorville, Ca., S.J. (Alice Faye) Russell Palmdale, Ca. and Charles Monroe Russell Okla. City, Okla. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends to also mourn his passing.
