The George Stevens Senior Center held its annual Harvest Festival with a Halloween twist on the last Friday of October. The event featured lunch, raffles, a costume contest, dancing, a talent show, and music by the people’s champ DJ John Phillips.

Co-host Dr Suzanne AffiaIo shared: “I think it’s important that we celebrate our seasoned adults whenever we can and show them how much we appreciate and love them,”

“We anticipated about 70 people, but we exceeded that. Our aim was for our senior community to fellowship and have a good time, and it looks like they had a great time!” Dr. Afflalo said.

From 11 a.m. ‘til 2 p.m., there was a golden-agers celebration and appreciation party going strong at the George L. Stevens Senior Center at 570 S 65th St, off Skyline Drive.
