Evelyn Moore

Evelyn Joyce Moore was born August 16, 1947 in a small town of Jonesboro, Louisiana to loving parents Ceaphus and Clifton Louise Rushing. Evelyn grew up with one sister, Mary Jean and three brothers, Douglas, Johnny and Melvin. The family moved to San Diego, California in 1952 for employment purposes and greater opportunities. Evelyn attended Sherman Elementary, Memorial Jr. High and Lincoln High School. After high school Evelyn attended Patricia Stevens Beauty College and went on to work at National Cash Register Company. Evelyn had a love for cooking and her loving spirit will be remembered by all who knew and loved her. She was also proceeded in death by her parents. Ceaphus and Clifton Rushing; brother Douglas Rushing. On Sunday, July 24, 2016, Evelyn Joyce Moore was called from earthly labor to eternal rest. She leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Tommy Lee Moore, loving sons, Evan (April) and Jaret; grandson Julian; sister Mary Jean, brothers Johnny and Melvin. Evelyn leaves behind a host of nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends. Evelyn is very much loved by her family and friends and will be missed and will always be remembered!
