The Never Leave One Behind organization (NLOB) were on their annual Joy to the World Merry Christmas tour last week. NLOB has been serving the community and beyond since 1987.
The Holiday giving got started when NLOB President Larry Price, aka Santa Claus, rented a U-Haul truck to pick up toys of Joy from generous donor Father Gus of the Church of Nativity, Tom Blake and staff.
After gathering all the goodies LP then drops off the toys, bicycles and gift-cards at various locations in America’s finest city.

St. Stephen’s Church of God in Christ on 5825 Imperial Ave was one of the blessed locations for some excitable kids that picked up some bicycles, toys, gift cards and some holiday cheer.
The Robinson Group of Lemon Grove also benefited from the generosity of NLOB.
NLOB were also allowed to send some 35 families to the big annual Nice Guys Christmas extravaganza in Balboa Park.
“We really appreciate them for allowing us to participate each year at such an awesome event,โ NLOB President Larry Price shared.
LP also had this to say about the support he receives from his many supporters, family and friends: “My wife Dr. Inez Reynolds-Price for supporting me.
Mike Peckham, Jean Colarusso of Friends of the Poor org, Steve Williams, Pastor-Father Gus, Tom and Kathy Blake, BR and JR, Mike Orlando and his lovely wife Sarah, Pastor John Warren of the Voice & Viewpoint newspaper and Bishop McKinney for their unyielding support.
A very special thanks to all the friends that I grew up with that believed in me.โ
NLOB also extended a helping hand to some of downtown’s homeless and the Southeast SD flood victims with new clothes, gift cards and food.
An anonymous donor said they will match any donation up to ten thousand dollars for the third annual Johnnie Lee Gibson scholarship fund.
