Leslie Vanesse Lathan
December 26, 1954 – February 27, 2016
Leslie Lathan 61 left us on February 27, 2016 at Kaiser Hospital in San Diego. Leslie was born on December 26, 1954 in San Diego. She was the daughter of Alfonzo and Judith Lathan. She graduated from Monte Vista High School in 1973. Leslie was employed by the City of San Diego for over 30 years. She was a Teacher’s Aide at Lincoln High School for many years and then worked for the Water Department for nearly 10 years. In 1997, Leslie married Grady Lucas. She was instrumental in raising his 6 children over the course of 17 years. Leslie was a very giving and loving person committed to her family. Leslie enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, watching sporting events, going to local casinos and having a good time with her family and friends. Leslie is survived by her loving mother, Judith Lathan, brothers Alfonzo Lathan, Gregory Lathan. and Robert Woods; her children, Anthony White and Shauna Harris, grandchildren, Alen Sams, Omar McFadden Jr., Stephen McFadden, and her favorite cousin Vicky. Additionally, Leslie leaves many other relatives and friends.
