On Sunday, August 30, community members gathered at Morse High School for a special screening of A Healthier Me, a documentary highlighting the life, service, and community health work of Dr. Suzanne Afflalo.
The event brought together community members, healthcare professionals, faith leaders, families, and supporters to celebrate Dr. Afflalo’s legacy of service and continue an important conversation about health, access to care, and wellness in San Diego.
Following the screening, Pastor Nate Stewart of Greater Life Church moderated a community panel discussion featuring Dr. Suzanne Afflalo, Danielle Gordon, NP, of IWC Primary Care, and Dr. Tanisha Fulcher. The discussion explored the story behind the work, lessons learned through years of community service, and the continued importance of improving access to healthcare and meeting communities where they are.
Sunday’s gathering also recognized the volunteers, community organizations, and partners who have helped make this work possible.
