Afro Future Con, formerly known as Afro Con, made a triumphant return to the San Diego Jackie Robinson YMCA on the weekend of Saturday, September 9th, and Sunday, September 10th, and it surpassed all expectations. Each year, this event undergoes significant improvements, and this year was no exception, with a dedicated focus on inclusivity and innovation. Afro Future Con 3.0 introduced a diverse range of workshops, carefully selected through an open call process, transforming the event from the brainchild of a few into a collective vision shared by many. In addition, special attention was given to cater to attendees of all ages, with activities for children, an array of vendors offering delectable food, cultural art, comic books, and valuable resource information. Prominent participants included the Malcolm X Library, as well as the SoCal Black Scuba Divers and Snorkelers.
