With hearts broken and spirits heavy, we honor the life of Alyssha Kristina Kurup, 38, whose beautiful journey on this earth ended far too soon on October 31, 2025. Alyssha, born on January 9, 1987, was a devoted wife, a protective and loving mother, a cherished daughter, sister, and friend — and above all, a Proverbs 31 woman of God who lived with faith, humility, and an overflowing heart.
Alyssha’s greatest joy and purpose were her children. She leaves behind her four precious babies; Amir Franks (17), Knamio Tankard (7), Anada Joseph (3), and Anaya Joseph (2) — each one carrying a piece of her light, her strength, and her love. They were her world, her reason, her everything. She is also survived by her loving mother Alfreda Kurup, her brother Anthony Kurup, niece Natalina Kurup, nephew Samuel Kurup, sisters; Shalini Kurup, Ashley Chikosi, and Charles DeBerry, honorary sisters; Tiqwettia Grey, Georgina Gaines, and Jesse who shared a deep sisterhood of love, faith, and unwavering support.
Alyssha’s family meant everything to her, and she poured her heart into every bond she held. Brilliant, compassionate, and determined, Alyssha served others as a licensed vocational nurse. She dreamed of returning to school to become a Registered Nurse — a goal she carried proudly, fueled by her desire to help and heal. Her calling was rooted in love, and she lived that calling daily.
Alyssha’s presence was soft but powerful. Her smile could ease a heavy day. Her generosity could lift a weary heart. Her faith never wavered, even in life’s hardest moments. She was the quiet strength of her family, the gentle comfort of her friends, and the kind of soul who made the world brighter simply by being in it.
Losing her is a pain that words cannot hold, but the love she gave — freely, abundantly, and without conditions — will live forever. Her legacy will echo in the lives of her children, in the memories held by her family, and in every person she touched with her kindness.
Alyssha will forever be missed. Forever be loved. She will forever be carried in the hearts of those who knew her.
