Denise Dudoit-Meyer, the community leader honoree, is the president of ‘Ahahui Kiwila Hawai’i O San Diego (AKHSD), a nonprofit organization chartered in 1993. She has provided services to the Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander (NHPI) communities through NHPI-led vaccine drives, PPE distributions, and wellness packages. Denise and AKHSD goes beyond the call of duty to seek out resources through their extended networks to continuously serve the collective community.
Dr. Taeko Uchino-DiCarlo, the small business honoree, is the owner of Positive Psychology Inc, an inclusive and affirming tele-therapy organization.
