Florence Russell

Florence Russell was born November 1, 1931 in Crockett, Texas to Boyd and Mary Wagner. She was the first born of six siblings. As a family they traveled to Arizona where she was educated, and raised. In Arizona she was married and had nine of her own children; six girls and three boys. After many years she moved with her family to San Diego, Ca where she met Jimmy Russell. For several years she worked as a domestic laborer for the San Diego International Airport. She expressed her happiness by attending church, helping others and spending time with her grandchildren. For many years she was an active member of the American Legion Post 310. She was a huge supporter of her grandchildren’s sporting events. She enjoyed shoe shopping and consignment stores. Her love was shown through her actions. She welcomed all who were in need into her home. She was called home July 26th 2016. She was preceded in death by her husband Jimmy Russell, son Virgil Harden, and son Richard Harden. She is survived by her children: Vivian, Audrey, Rether, Leroy, Charmaine, Mary, and Donna. Her Three sisters: Betty, Shirley, and Carolyn. 17 grandchildren and a host of great grandchildren.
