Gwendolyn Blair

Gwendolyn Blair was born on August 26, 1951 to the late Verlyn and Bevely Walker in San Diego, California. She departed this life on March 29, 2016 at her home in Chula Vista, California. Gwendolyn graduated from Kearny High School in 1969 and went on to attend Community College. She then worked as a Legal Secretary/Paralegal for over 28 years. Later in life she also attended and graduated from UC Berkley were she majored in Anthropology/Museum Studies. Over the course of her life span, she has obtained 5 degrees. Gwendolyn loved to see the world. She had visited such places like Belize, Jamaica, Amsterdam, Spain, London and many more places. Each time she brought back more culture and education to share. Gwen is survived by two children: Amber Muhammad (Delano), Sekou Ndiaye (Misty); six grandchildren: Hakeem, A’ishah, Kareemah, Abdul Rahman, Sayidana, Njeri; and two great grandchildren: Gwen is also survived by her sisters Beverly Robinson (Rory), Gale Walker, Denise Walker, Nelisha Mitchell (Gregory). She is preceded in death by her brother Richard Walker. All of which are from San Diego, California.
