It Takes a Village Community Organization, in collaboration with the TS Jordan Foundation, joined forces last Saturday at Willie Henderson Park for a toy giveaway and a good time.

Kids and adults were able to enjoy a wide variety of activities including arts and crafts, raffle drawings, face painting, photo booths, and more.

“This was our 3rd Annual Community Christmas spectacular,” shared Malika Hollins Founder and CEO of It Takes A Village. “We teamed up with the CEO of the TS Jordan Foundation, Myesha Stewart, because our goal is the same – giving back to underserved communities. And this is the community that we [both] grew up in.”

Thanks to the concern and love of both organizations, the dream team and their friends were able to help make some Christmas wishes come true.

“We gave away free food, toys, gift cards, and bicycles. We had a good turnout and the kids appeared to have a fun time and that’s what matters,” Hollins shared.
