Kenneth Martin Walker Sr., affectionately known as Kenny, was a man whose laughter was as unforgettable as his devotion to family and work. Born on October 23, 1961, in Los Angeles, California, Kenny lived a life defined by love, service, and an enduring sense of humor. He was called home on November 25, 2025, in Campo, California, following a sudden passing at home.

Kenny leaves behind a legacy rooted in joy and dedication. He shared 45 years together with Stacy Walker and 36 years of marriage, was a proud father to Kenneth Jr. and Brennan, and a loving brother to Kim and Kevin. He was a cherished uncle whose nieces and nephews could always count on Uncle Kenny for treats and laughter.

Preceded in death by his parents, Frances Ferguson and Jack Walker, Kenny carried forward the values they instilled through his words and actions.

A graduate of Fremont High School, Kenny’s strong work ethic began early, from flipping burgers at Chorney’s Burgers to working with CSC Security and Shell Gas Station. His greatest professional pride came from 34 years with the City of San Diego. Beginning on the grounds crew at Jack Murphy Stadium and advancing to Equipment Technician, he became a familiar figure throughout San Diego’s beach communities and neighborhoods, especially during challenging storm years. His dedication was honored with his own street sign, a recognition he deeply cherished.

Faith guided Kenny’s life, lived with laughter, generosity, and an open heart. He loved coaching sports, listening to old-school music, and sharing stories from “back in the day.” A devoted fisherman and admirer of mountain life, he proudly claimed he could outfish anyone.

Kenny found joy in food, especially Stacy’s home cooking, and believed he had a sixth sense for bacon. Later in life, he discovered a passion for gardening, watching his plants flourish just as he did.

An entrepreneur at heart, Kenny explored many ventures—from smoke shops and cookie deliveries to pressing t-shirts and dryer vent cleaning—always with a smile and a dad joke ready. He never met a stranger, only friends he hadn’t laughed with yet.

As we say farewell, we remember a man whose life was vibrant and full of color. Kenny’s laughter, kindness, and faith remain with us, reminding us that every day is a gift from God. His spirit lives on in every life he touched.
