San Diego County held its seventh Library High School graduation ceremony to celebrate the accomplishments of 37 new graduates. Each received their high school diploma during a cap and gown ceremony at Cuyamaca College in El Cajon.
Life circumstances sometimes prevent students from graduating high school with their classmates. Library High School allows students to work around their job or family schedules to study at their own pace to complete their high school education.
Since its inception in 2016, the free online program has allowed 335 County residents to earn their high school diplomas, opening doors to new opportunities and brighter futures. There are 189 students currently enrolled in the program.
The Library High School program is open to County residents 19 years and older. Courses can be completed in as little as five months or up to 18 months.
The program is made possible through the support of the San Diego County and California State Libraries.
