Lillie Bell Jordan

Lillie Bell Jordan, 85 years of age succumbed to complications from a stroke, on Saturday September 3, 2016. She died at the Kaiser Permanente Hospital in San Diego, CA. Lillie Bell was born in Martinville, Virginia to the proud parents of Grady Brenner, Sr. and Susie Brenner. As a young child Lillie Bell could always be found working alongside her mother. She washed dishes, cleaned houses and helped with the cooking. Lillie Bell would later become an excellent cook from all the many hours she watched and learned from her mother. Sometime after finishing high school, Lillie Bell moved to San Diego, California, where she met Jesse B. Jordan and the two soon fell in love and got married in 1960. Mrs. Jordan now happily married went to work for the same company her husband worked for, named General Dynamic (formerly called Convair). She worked there for 17 years before retiring and becoming a homemaker. She was a fantastic homemaker and cook. She could always be found in the kitchen cooking up one of her many specialty dishes, much to the delight of her family and friends. She also loved to travel and watch her favorite professional wrestlers on television Mrs. Jordan was also a member of Mount Erie Baptist Church, in San Diego where she sang in the choir, until she bruised her vocal cords, which caused her to discontinue from singing. However, she remained a member of Mount Erie Baptist Church, although she missed singing in the choir. Mrs. Lillie Bell Jordan is survived by her husband of 55 years Jesse Jordan of (San Diego, CA), son Eddie Jordan, of (San Diego, CA), daughter Sharon Jordan, of (Milwaukee, WI), brother Grady Brenner and wife Barbara of (Martinville, VA), sister Lucy Gravely and husband William, of (Martinville, VA), brother Paul Brenner and wife Barbara, of (Martinville, VA). She had a daughter now deceased Linda Jordan, of (San Diego, CA). She is also survived by a host of grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
