Mrs. Alefesh Geresghiher January 21, 1947-April 30, 2017
Our Dearest Mother Mrs. Alefesh Gerezghiher Tesfai was born to her late father Gereszghiher Tesfai (Aba Mengod), and her mother Zehabta Keshi Kidane in Eritrea January 21, 1947 in a village called Kuhli Zb’ee, district of Kohayn, and the province of Seraye.
Mrs. Alefesh started working in her early adulthood life in order to support her parents until she got married to her husband Mr. Mebrahtu Tedla in 1960. Their married life was suddenly interrupted by the accidental death of her husband in 1980. Mrs. Alefesh was then survived by her kids, Biri, late Zeray, Martyr Afewerki, Aqlasya, Tesfalidet, Tirhas, Tsehaynesh, Amaniel, Mizan, Samson, Awet, Ghenet, and Abraham, well cared for by their dedicated mother Mrs. Alefesh Gerezghiher.
Since April 28, 2010 Mrs. Alefesh lived in San Diego with her daughter Mrs. Tsehaynesh Mebrahtu, and her husband Mr. Michael Beyene along with her grandkids Sirak, Hara, Haben and Sened. After a lengthy illness and convalescence, she died on Sunday April 30th 2017.
Mrs. Alefesh who will be missed by all-was warm hearted, courteous, kind, compassionate, and God fearing religious person who lead her life with everyday prayers.

Services were held Thursday , May 4, 2017 at the Eritrean Orthodox Church, San Diego, California; final resting place at the Tegeren Cemetery in Tegeren, Eretreia. Final arrangements were entrusted to Anderson-Ragsdale Mortuary.
