The National Association of Real Estate Brokers (NAREB) would like to honor Ms. Kathleen Harmon by renovating her home with Project Face Lift. Ms Harmon’s home is in great disrepair and she needs our help desperately.
Ms. Harmon has done many things for the City of San Diego, especially in the 4th District. She has dedicated herself to making a difference in the 4th District by working with the Community Leaders, Churches, and other Organizations to make sure that we receive what’s best for the community.
I was not aware when we selected her as the candidate of how great the need was for her home. But you know and I know that God makes no mistakes. I had never been to her home, but once there I knew that she was in need of our help as her Community family to meet her needs of today. She has been so busy helping others that she has not been able to keep up with the changes that are needed to keep her home safe as a elderly person in 2014.
We are trying to raise funds for the Rebuilding Together San Diego project. I was told that we will need 10K for that organization to step up to the plate to help her with the needed repairs. On the other hand we still need to help her whether we get the funds or not. IF we do, then they will supply the majority of her needs through their partners.
I believe as a community we can all step up and help the lady that has helped to make a difference in all of San Diego.
Ms. Harmon has been in her home over 60 years and she needs help to restore it to its natural beauty. She has been a pillar in the community, and we need to step up to help her in any way that we can to show her that we care. She is elderly and her needs for that home are different today than they were 60 years ago.
The how and the why of the need is really not important, but the community and the community leaders must now step up to the plate and do what is right for this senior that works so hard for the 4th District. Let’s all get together and give her home back.
ON April 12th (NAREB) will be doing what we can do to make her house a home that she can be proud of again. Her house needs a lot a love and attention and we will only be able to do our best as one organization. However, our best may not be good enough and that is where you or your organization come in. For this reason we need your help! We are in need of people to make this dream of getting her house back in order a reality.
Ms. Harmon has made several attempts to get help from the different organizations to no avail. So we are asking the Community and the Community Leaders to partner with us to help make this house a home for her on our FACE LIFT project. It is also the hope of our Organization that we will help to bring the community together to take care of the Seniors in our Community, especially knowing that they have paved the way for us today. Hopefully this will be the first of many more seniors that NAREB helps to keep their home safe.
We need volunteers and donations. We want to make this day festive as a celebration for her so any resources, skills, supplies that you can donate will be greatly appreciated. Since this will be a festive event on that day we are also asking for water, fruit and food for the grill.
Our organization is a 501C6 so if you need our EIN for donations please let me know. We are taking all forms of help for her.
WE are in need workers to work pro bono and we need materials .
WE will have banners, website, radio, and social media for your logo as part of our marketing. More than anything else it is a way to give back. And if you don’t want to give back then pay it forward, either way its a blessing.
