OTX 12 Makes Waves in San Diego

OTX held its first fight of 2025 at the Sycuan Casino Resort in San Diego. This was the venue’s first professional boxing card since 2021and hometown hero Jonny Mansour brought the energy and passion in the night’s feature bout.

For OTX12:

  • The U.S. Air Force joined as an official partner in 2025.
  • As part of OTX’s partnership with DAZN, all fights were available to watch on the DAZN app for free, and streamed on DAZN and Overtime socials
  • OTX fights were also available to stream for free on Victory+.

All the way in Sydney, Australia, OTX fighter Tiara “The Dark Menace” Brown became WBC world featherweight champion! Brown upset Australian favorite Skye Nicolson in a split-decision victory, remaining undefeated at 19-0 with 11 KOs.

In the first fight of the night, Richard Fernandez Jr. got the KO bonus in the OTX Money Round, securing a win vs. Garret Palmer in 1 minute and 26 seconds to remain undefeated!

Going all six rounds, Donte Layne battled and remained undefeated in a unanimous decision against Malik Calhoun ( below).

In the co-main event, a pivotal WBC International Lightweight Championship was on the line and Kurt Scoby came out on top against challenger Cesar Villarraga with a KO. This was the 14th KO of Scoby’s career (below).

In the main event, Jeremey Hill defeated Maliek Montgomery after 10 rounds in a unanimous decision. It was just the first career loss for Montgomery who stands at 20-1, 18 KOs (below).

In the feature bout in front of his hometown crowd, Jonny “Magic” Mansour claimed a victory vs. Markus Bowes, knocking him out in 1 minute and 29 seconds during the OTX Money Round. Mansour remains undefeated at 4-0, 1 KO (below).
