The Praise and Glory team was back at the Malcolm X Library on Saturday, November 22 from 11:30am-3:30pm for the seventh year of providing their free Thanksgiving dinners to at least 150 walk-ins. No questions asked. Families welcomed.

The more than 25 volunteers working this nonprofit event, come from different area churches, while some are just lifetime friends wanting to help each other. Mrs. Virginia Rhodes is the chief cook for this event and Mrs. Alice Lloyd noted that due to the generous support of Alan Bugg, Branch Manager at the Valencia Park/Malcolm X Library, they were able to use the Library’s all-purpose room, which is transformed into a dining hall by the volunteers. There is seating for about 60 people. This includes families and the homeless. All were welcomed with open arms.
