Rev. Bryan Rashan White was born on June 13, 1976, in San Diego, California, to Clara White and Hosea Lucian Hall. He received his education through the San Diego Unified School District and graduated from Clairemont High School in 1994. Bryan also attended Southwest Oklahoma State University for several months before returning to sunny California.

Bryan accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized by the late Dr. Charles E. Gayton. He also accepted his call to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ and delivered his first sermon at age 16. The topic was “Be Obedient!” from Jonah 1:17.

Bryan was a faithful member of Community Missionary Baptist Church and reunited with the church in 2022 when his uncle, Rev. Richard G. White, became pastor. He served as Minister of Music, choir director, and associate minister. Bryan embraced his calling wholeheartedly and was known as an anointed preacher and gifted singer.

Bryan was employed by the City of San Diego for eight years, serving in various departments. His final assignment was with Environmental Services.

In 2024, Bryan married Breona Maxey. He was a devoted husband, loving father, and sports enthusiast whose favorite teams were the Los Angeles Chargers and Los Angeles Lakers.

Rev. Bryan Rashan White was a man of unshakable faith who continually trusted God through life’s challenges. He received an LVAD before undergoing a heart transplant on March 29, 2019. During the last seven years, Bryan faced many health struggles but remained steadfast in his faith and trust in Jesus Christ. One of his favorite songs was “I Need Thee.”

Rev. Bryan Rashan White passed on May 14, 2026. He was preceded in death by his father Hosea L. Hall, and grandparents; William and Emma White, Sr., Ruth Hearn, and Elmo Hall.

He leaves behind a legacy of love and faith through his wife Breona White, devoted mother Clara White, children; Bryshan, Jalaya, B’Andre, Bryzai, Bryndan, Jordyn, and Brylan, stepchildren; Elexiona, Stevyon, and Davionna, grandchildren; MaLeah, My’Chel, and Daevion, sisters; Kelly Williams, Kimberly Hall, and Kira Hall, grandfather Lawrence Hearn, nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts, Godfamily members, cousins, extended family, spiritual aunts and uncles, and dear friends. His impact, love, and service to God’s people will forever remain in the hearts of all whose lives he touched.
