San Diego City College held its 2026 Commencement Ceremony on May 21 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the beautiful Spreckels Organ Pavilion in Balboa Park. Family members, friends, teachers, and staff gathered to celebrate the graduating class and recognize students for their hard work and achievements.
The evening was filled with excitement as graduates walked into the pavilion wearing caps and gowns while music played in the background. Many students smiled, waved to their families, and took photos before the ceremony began. The outdoor setting gave the event a special feeling as the sun started to set over Balboa Park.

Students from different programs and backgrounds came together to celebrate finishing an important chapter in their lives. Many graduates completed degrees and certificates that will help them continue their education or begin new careers. Some students plan to transfer to four-year universities, while others are preparing to enter the workforce.
School leaders congratulated the graduates for staying focused and working hard to reach their goals. The ceremony also recognized the support families, friends, and instructors gave students throughout their journey at City College.
As graduates crossed the stage, the crowd cheered loudly for each student. Many families celebrated by bringing flowers, balloons, and signs to support their loved ones. After the ceremony ended, students gathered with classmates and relatives to take pictures and celebrate their accomplishments.
The San Diego City College Commencement Ceremony marked an important milestone for the Class of 2026 and highlighted the determination and success of its students.
