San Diego, CA: Over 50 San Diego local urban businesses convened at
the Holiday & Bazaar Business Expo on Saturday, December 7, 2013,
10:00 am-8:00 pm at the MLK Community Center at Bay View Baptist
Church located at 6134 Benson Ave., San Diego, 92114. Also featured
were workshops that covered topics including “When to Patent or Not”,
“How to Start a Business” and “Learn What to Tradmark and How”.
Erica Crumpler, Owner of Brilliant Treats, “The Holiday & Business
Bazaar Expo provided a great opportunity to connect with new clients
and showcase new items that I am featuring during the holidays to my
existing clients.
There was also a number of activities that the whole family could
enjoy from Christmas photos with Santa, opportunity drawings of toy
baskets to sweet treats to make you smile. This was truly a great
event for the community to meet local businesses for their Christmas
needs.”
Eddie Price of GRID Alternatives, “I appreciate events like the
Holiday & Business Bazaar Expo so that we can network and connect with
small business owners that may not be easily reached due to being a
home or online business. The organization the I represent Grid
Alternatives has a mission to empower communities in need by educating
them on renewable energy and energy efficiency services, equipment and
training. We believe making energy choices that are good for the
environment can go hand-in-hand with improving the lives of those
living in low-income communities. GRID Alternatives works
collaboratively with communities and local organizations to identify
specific needs and to develop renewable energy solutions that are
environmentally, socially and economically sustainable. Opportunities
may be missed if not for events like the Holiday & Business Bazaar
Expo. Kudos to the organizers and all the entrepreneurs that
participated.”
