If you want to vote in the Nov. 4 Gubernatorial General Election, but your tight schedule won’t allow you to visit your polling place Tuesday, take advantage of the weekend voting hours at the Registrar of Voters office.
“We know people are busy and voting on Election Day Tuesday may not be convenient,” said San Diego County Registrar of Voters Michael Vu. “Weekend voting gives voters yet another option to cast their ballots or drop off their vote-by-mail ballots.”
The office will be open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 1 and Sunday, Nov. 2 at its new location at 5600 Overland Ave., San Diego, 92123. The office will also take calls during that same time period at(858) 565-5800. Additionally, voters can drop off their mail ballots outside the Registrar’s office from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Sunday or Monday. On Election Day, the drop-off hours will be from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
New for this election, voters may also drop off their mail ballots through Nov. 3 at one of 14 additional sites across the County. Voters can stop by any one of 12 libraries, the Oceanside City Clerk’s office or the Poway Senior Center and drop off their mail ballots during each location’s regular business hours. These drop-off locations are not early voting locations, but for mail ballots only.
