On April 11, 2026, the Urban Collaborative Project hosted its 5th Annual Transportation Justice Expo at Market Creek Plaza in San Diego. The event ran from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and welcomed families, students, and community members.
The Expo focused on how transportation affects daily life, like getting to jobs, school, and healthcare. Organizers said transportation is a basic right for everyone.
This year’s event included a green jobs zone, a transportation history exhibit, roller skating, lowrider displays, bike giveaways, and health resources.
Councilmember Henry L. Foster III spoke at the event and presented founder Brian “Barry” Pollard with a special commendation. He recognized Pollard’s strength, leadership, and commitment to transportation justice.
