Family, friends and community members gathered at John F. Kennedy Park on Aug. 8, 2026, at 1:30 p.m. for TRE DAY 2026, a celebration honoring the life and legacy of Trevon Stewart Jordan on what would have been his 31st birthday.

Hosted by the TS Jordan Foundation, the fourth annual event offered a day filled with food, activities, giveaways and family fun. The free community celebration continues the foundation’s mission of supporting local families while keeping Jordan’s memory alive.

Children attending TRE DAY received backpacks and school supplies to help them prepare for the upcoming school year. Families were also treated to free food, cotton candy and other sweets. Arts and crafts, raffles and additional activities gave children and adults several ways to participate and enjoy the celebration.

Trevon’s mother, Myeshia Stewart, described the event as another successful day for the foundation and the community.

“On his 31st birthday, he brought out a diverse crowd of people who all enjoyed themselves,” Stewart said. “It was a great day, and we look forward to continuing to give back to our families and community. It is a blessing to be able to keep TS Jordan’s legacy alive.”

TRE DAY has grown into more than a birthday celebration. It has become an opportunity for people from different backgrounds to come together, build relationships and make positive memories with their families.

The support shown during the event demonstrated the lasting impact Jordan continues to have through the work being done in his name. Each backpack, meal and activity represented the foundation’s commitment to serving others.

As the TS Jordan Foundation looks ahead, TRE DAY will continue honoring Trevon by bringing joy to children, helping families and creating a stronger sense of community. His legacy lives on through every person touched by the celebration and through the foundation’s continued dedication to giving back.

When families continue to lose loved ones to senseless violence, how can the community come together to prevent more lives from being lost and help those left behind heal?
