With the November 3 General Election approaching, San Diego Voice & Viewpoint will host a community Election Forum on Sept. 10 to help voters understand what is at stake before ballots arrive.
California voters will choose a governor and other statewide officers, members of Congress and the state Legislature, while weighing 14 statewide propositions addressing issues including housing, education and health care funding, voting rules, taxes and local government revenues. In San Diego County, voters may also decide races for the Board of Supervisors, congressional and state legislative districts, school and community college boards, and within the City of San Diego, City Council Districts 2, 4, 6 and 8.
The forum will give community members an opportunity to learn, ask questions and discuss how November’s choices could affect their families, neighborhoods and communities. Bring your questions and invite your family, friends and neighbors.
Voice & Viewpoint’s Election Forum will be held at the Voice & Viewpoint offices located at 3619 College Avenue. The event is free to the public, and there is plenty of free parking available.
