Services were held on Thursday, November 12, 2020 at Anderson-Ragsdale Mortuary, Memory Chapel; interment at My. Hope Cemetery.

JOHNNIE MORAN BROWN was born February 6, 1929 in Walls, Louisiana. He was of eleven children born to loving parents Hillary Brown and Edna Bourgeois Brown. He received his formal education in Walls, LA. In 1945, Johnnie moved to San Diego, CA with brother, Will and sisters, Corrine and Edna.

In 1948, Johnnie united in Holy Matrimony with Zelma Davis Brown. He was a Veteran of the Army Corp of Engineers. His hobbies consisted of fishing, hunting, and automobiles. He was a first-class aviation mechanic for Navy Air Station North Island. Johnnie was a problem solver and could fix anything with his hands. He spent 30 years specializing in aircraft mechanics. He received several awards of recognition with the Naval Air Station.

On Sunday, November 1, 2020, Johnnie Moran Brown returned to be with our Lord and his wife, Zelma Brown; his parents, Hillary and Edna Brown; brothers: Will Brown and wife Margaret, Leroy Brown, Lawrence Brown Sr. and wife Stella; sisters: Belle Lena Brimmer and husband Ivory, Marguerite Robertson and husband Allen, Ruby Blanchard and husband Ernest, Lula Matthew, Corrine Tansiel and husband Tank, Edna Fain and husband Jackson.

Johnnie leaves to cherish his memory his brother, Jimmy Brown; sister-in-law, Thelma Lewis; and a host of nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
