On Saturday, February 15th with relatives and friends, Mrs. Jennie V. McKissack celebrated her 90th birthday in the banquet hall at the Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church, Rev. J. Linzie Whitmill, Pastor. The event was planned by her daughters Deb McKissack and Kathy Baker, with the assistance of Brenda Raven and Janice Gabriel. Her most amazing gift was 90 long stemmed red roses, one for each of her magnificent years. Mrs. McKissack was surprised and thanked everyone for the gifts and attending to help celebrate her life.
